I need credit. Should I apply for every credit card I can to make sure I get one?

No! Every time you apply for credit the creditor will pull your credit decreasing the likelihood that you will get credit the next time. Also when you try to get a loan the creditor will check to see how much money you owe on credit cards but also how much more you could charge if you maxed out all your cards. You should only apply for a credit card if you need one. It is also wise to close cards that you will not use. If you are having problems getting a credit card you can apply for a prepaid master card.
