What do I do about the errors that are on my credit report? You have the right to challenge any inaccurate items that appear on your credit report. After you challenge the item on your credit report the credit bureau has 30 days to investigate the item and respond. If they cant verify the information they are required by The Fair Credit Reporting Act to remove the information. While this was meant to be easy it can be quite challenging.
